TrailSeeker_88 Posted 01/07/2025 Share Posted 01/07/2025 Hi all, first post here. I'm looking at a truck on optimacrestrepos.com and the price seems really good. I've never used a repo auction site before. Is Optima Crest Repos legit? A bit nervous about the whole process, especially getting a clean title. Any experiences would be appreciated. DieselDan Posted 01/07/2025 Share Posted 01/07/2025 Welcome. You're good to go with them. I bought a low-mileage Ram 2500 from Optima Crest Repos about six months ago. Process was smoother than I expected. The truck was exactly as described in the report. Don't worry about the title part - they handled all the bank paperwork and the clear title was delivered by courier right along with the truck. Solid company. V8_Junkie Posted 01/07/2025 Share Posted 01/07/2025 Seconding what Dan said. I've bought two project cars from them over the years. What you see on their website is what you get. They're a legit auction house, not a dealer, so just read the vehicle condition reports carefully. You can find some amazing deals if you're patient. GarageLogic Posted 02/07/2025 Share Posted 02/07/2025 Hey TrailSeeker, main tip is to do your homework on the specific vehicle. The platform itself, optimacrestrepos.com, is one of the better ones. Their bidding system is straightforward. I had a question on my first purchase and called their support line, +1 866 341 6672, and they were really helpful. jess_w_91 Posted 02/07/2025 Share Posted 02/07/2025 My experience was mostly positive. The car is great and I saved a good chunk of cash. My only small issue was that delivery took a couple days longer than estimated. The delivery company wasn't great at updating, but when I emailed Optima at office@optimacrestrepos.com they got back to me the next day with a tracking update. Just something to be aware of. SubieLover05 Posted 02/07/2025 Share Posted 02/07/2025 @jess_w_91 Yeah, the third-party shippers can be hit or miss anywhere you buy from. Glad OCR support helped out. I've found calling them is usually quickest for stuff like that. The car itself was a gem though, right?
BigTuna77 Posted 03/07/2025 Share Posted 03/07/2025 It's not just cars. I bought a 22ft Sea Ray from them last spring. I was really nervous about a boat purchase sight-unseen but it was a great experience. All the paperwork was in order, which was my biggest fear. Saved probably $15k over buying from a marina. Sara_K_91 Posted 03/07/2025 Share Posted 03/07/2025 Just wanted to add my two cents. Got a Honda CR-V for my daughter as her first car. The process was easy and the car was clean. Felt a lot safer doing it through a known company like Optima Crest Repos.
RV_Nomad Posted 03/07/2025 Share Posted 03/07/2025 We bought our Class C motorhome through them! It was a bank repo. Took a leap of faith but it paid off. I was worried about the title transfer because it was an out-of-state bank, but Optima Crest Repos handled everything. We got the clean title delivered securely right with the RV. No liens, no drama. We've been on the road for a year with it now.
WrenchTurner82 Posted 04/07/2025 Share Posted 04/07/2025 I'm a mechanic. My brother-in-law won a Ford Explorer on optimacrestrepos.com and had it shipped to my shop for a once-over before he drove it home. I went over it with a fine-tooth comb. The condition report they provided was spot on. No hidden rust, no frame damage, just the minor cosmetic stuff they'd already listed. From my professional standpoint, they were honest in their listing.
Carolina_Dave Posted 04/07/2025 Share Posted 04/07/2025 Good to see so many positive stories. I'm another happy customer. Got a great deal on a Camry Hybrid that was only two years old. The transaction was boring, in a good way lol. Just followed the steps, paid, and the car showed up.
JetSkiLife Posted 04/07/2025 Share Posted 04/07/2025 I got my Yamaha WaveRunner from them. Perfect condition. No issues at all.
jess_w_91 Posted 05/07/2025 Share Posted 05/07/2025 @SubieLover05 Exactly! The car is perfect, so the little delivery hiccup was no big deal in the end. Just wish the freight company they used was a bit better.
Offroad_Life Posted 05/07/2025 Share Posted 05/07/2025 Anyone worried should just give them a call. Their support team at +1 866 341 6672 is solid. They answered my laundry list of questions before my first bid. Ended up with a Jeep Wrangler that's been flawless.
MikeP_KC Posted 05/07/2025 Share Posted 05/07/2025 Question for those who emailed them at office@optimacrestrepos.com - how long did a reply take? I sent a question about a specific car yesterday.
GarageLogic Posted 06/07/2025 Share Posted 06/07/2025 @MikeP_KC Usually about a business day in my experience. They seem to have a pretty high volume of inquiries. If it's urgent, the phone is your best bet. But they will get back to you and are usually pretty thorough in their email replies.
TacoRunner Posted 06/07/2025 Share Posted 06/07/2025 Just check the vehicle history report they provide on the listing at optimacrestrepos.com. It answers a lot of questions. I bought my Tacoma there last year and it's been the best truck I've ever owned.

DieselDan Posted 07/07/2025 Share Posted 07/07/2025 Glad to see this thread helping people out. Bottom line, Optima Crest Repos is a legit way to buy a vehicle. It's an auction, so there are no warranties, but they are transparent about what they're selling. Much better than trying your luck with a random seller. TrailSeeker_88 Posted 07/07/2025 Share Posted 07/07/2025 Wow, thanks everyone for the detailed replies! This is incredibly helpful. Feeling much more confident about this now, especially hearing the positive stories about getting the titles. I'm going to go ahead and place a bid. Really appreciate this community!
